    I remember messaging influencers on Instagram begging for any sort of advice on how to build muscle & where the heck to start At this point I had spent the majority of my fitness journey focused on not having the scale go over 100 pounds. My “Roman Empire” was constantly worrying about my body & my weight..striving to be the smallest version of myself. My whole reality and life tied to a number on the scale. It might seem silly but that reality started to shift for me when I saw a girl in the weight room squatting some heavy ass weight. I remember watching from the treadmill thinking she looked so damn powerful and strong…so much so I remember telling myself there’s no way I could ever have the confidence or even strength to do that. Until every time I started going to gym to do cardio my mind started saying “why not? Why not you?” This led me into the weight room, which led me into falling in love with feeling strong, which led me into seeing the power of NOURISHING my body. Gaining weight was harder than I ever expected..until I realized how much my quality of life had improved. I was LIVING. I was experiencing. I wasn’t constantly living in fear, constantly fatigued, constantly stressed over every single bite of food I put into my mouth. The answer that I was searching for at the beginning was much more simple than I thought: nourish your body, prioritize a progressive overload program & train with intention and intensity, and be patient as building muscle takes lots of TIME. The best part is the journey..so stick with it❤️#fyp
